Ready or not Berries here come the Grimwood Boys!

Yesterday we went picking Boysenberries and blueberries with Grandma. The boys had a lot of fun running up and down the boysenberry rows. Jason and Matthew each thought they were helping mom pick the berries and put them in our bucket, but usually they would either eat the berry or if you were Matthew you contributed a leaf or a rock to our berry bucket. Matthew was so dirty after we were finished. The boys and I decided that we were going to pick some Blueberries also. Matthew loves blueberries, as soon as we arrived in the blueberry row he went crazy. He picked those blueberries and shoved as many as he could in his mouth. Did not matter if they were green or blue at first then after he realized that the green were not so tasty he just went for the blue. We ended up picking 6 pounds of boysenberries and 1 pound of blueberries. We will have to go and pick some more blueberries next week. We need enough for during the winter(they are so good frozen) and at 1.20/lb. you can't beat that! After next week we will be done paying for berries and will just pick the Blackberries in our backyard.
I added two pictures just because they turned out so well.

Oaks Park

Today we went to Oaks Park with Ellie, Kaylee, Caleb and Ethan. It was a lot of fun. Jason really enjoyed riding the rides with Kaylee. They are such good friends. Jason and Kaylee went on a little roller coaster there at the park. At first Jason's face got so red I thought for sure that he was going to cry (from past experience). But, he didn't. Matthew also had fun riding the rides with his good pal Caleb. They seemed to like the carousel the best.

I took some pictures, but not as much as I would have liked. It was kinda hard trying to make Matthew happy and operate our wonderful camera (we need an easier one) all at the same time. We are looking forward to going again maybe in a couple of weeks. Hopefully this time it will not rain on us and it might even be a little bit warmer. I forgot a jacket for Jason and he got a little cold.
I hope you all enjoy these pictures

The Reading Man

Yesterday I was washing dishes and I heard Jason reading. I asked him to come and clean up his mess in the living room. After a while he came and cleaned his mess up and then asked if he could finish his book. I let him. After a few minutes I went to lay with him to read my book. I realized that Jason was reading a long book. I checked and it is over 60 pages. I was shocked. He is such a good little reader I have been told he reads on second to third grade level. Well so much for the doctors telling us that he would be delayed when we left with from the hospital. I thought I would include a picture of the book.

Sleeping Babies

Well, after trying for over a week to have Matthew sleep in portable crib, he has decided that he would rather sleep with his big brother Jason. Not only does he have to sleep in the same bed, but he must be right beside him. Actually it is really cute, after I leave the room Matthew cries for a little bit and Jason will either sing him a song or read him a story. After a few minutes Matthew is out cold. They are just so cute!

Picking Flowers

Today was such a pleasant day here in Oregon city. Jason and Matthew decided they wanted to pick the dandelions. I thought it was a cute picture.

Ready to Start Blogging

I finally decided to start blogging. I know it has taken me for ever to get caught up with modern day technology, but I decided since Brian is gone to Arizona it would be good for him and others to see what we are up to. I will try to be good at this.
Today is a beautiful day in Oregon.
